What "Bare JAPAN" means...

"IBARAKI is not ready for you to come!"

"IBARAKI is not ready for you to come"???

There are many touristy places in Japan. But Ibaraki is not.

And that is why you can taste the foods as they are, and at the price we pay,

you can also see the mountains, the lakes, the rivers, and the see as they are.

IBARAKI is "The Least Attractive Prefecture" but tell you the truth...

We have a plenty of JAPAN'S TOPs:

  1) " Brand-named Vegetables and Fruits"

Do you know that vegetables and fruits in Japan are not only "good looking" but also many of them have bland-names. Ibaraki is one of JAPAN'S Top 3 Agricultural Prefectures,

so we have bland-named melons, strawberries, pears,  persimmons,  grapes, tomatoes, chestnuts, dried sweetpotatoes, lotus roots and rice!

  2) "Greatest Flower Gardens"

   * "Hitachi Seaside Park" is a world famous park for its Nemophilas and beautiful flowers.

   * "Itako" is famous for its irises. "Suigo Itako Iris Festival" is held in June with 1 milion

      irises.

   * "Rose" is the symbol flower of Ibaraki Prefecture. "Ibaraki Flower Park" is a 30-hectare

     flower garden with 30,000 roses.

   * "Kairakuen Park," one of Japan's Top 3 Historical Parks, is famous for its plum trees.

There are 3000 plum trees there.

   3) One of JAPAN'S TOP Places .....

    * "Kairakuen Park" = One of JAPAN'S TOP 3 Traditional Parks

    * "Fukuroda Falls" = One of JAPAN'S TOP 3 Waterfalls

*"Kasumigaura Lake" = The second largest lake in Japan

*"Tone River" = The widest river in Japan.

*"Tsukuba Science City" = Also called "Tsukuba Academic City" is a man-made city for science and technology with National Research and Educational Institutions. One of them is "JAXA," a core agency for Japanese aerospace development.

*"Ushiku-Daibutsu" = The tallest standing Great Budda in Japan

*"Tsuchiura All Japan Fireworks Conpetition" = One of JAPAN'S TOP 3 Fireworks Displays

*"Kashima Shrine" = One of the oldest shrines in Japan

*"Kasama Inari Shrine" = One of the TOP 3 largest Inari Shrines in Japan

    4) Ibaraki's Pride

*"Mt. Tsukuba" is known as one of 100 beautiful mountains in Japan, but surprisingly it is the lowest mountain of them. Ibaraki boasts such a low mountain as it stands graciously and courtly. The mountain has two peaks, a lady and a gentleman.
