Where is IBARAKI ?

茨城県(Ibaraki Prefecture)

There are 47 prefectures in Japan. Ibaraki Pref. is located in the Kanto Plain, in the center of Japan. But even Japanese people misunderstand that it belongs to Tohoku Region(Northern prefectures)!    Why?     Because we have nothing special?

Ibaraki has nice flat lands for agriculture, beautiful mountains, lakes, and the sea, with mild climate, though...

Gunma Prefecture, Tochigi Prefecture, and Ibaraki Prefecture do not share the borders with Tokyo. Unlike Saitama Pref., Kanagawa Pref., and Chiba Pref., these three prefectures might seem to be more independent from Tokyo.

Therefore, IBARAKI is very close to Tokyo, but very "Different" !
